The technology developed in some R & D projects by SEED are
1. Design & development of New Dryers Models - Solar dryer for high humid climates (coastal regions), Low in cost and knock down condition with dehumidification facility.
2. Medium sized solar dryer 200 kg capacity with 15 sq. mt drying area and with 9 sq. m. solar window
3. Hybrid solar dryer for cold Himalayan region having 10 deg. ambient temperature with alternative energy sources for pre heated air in to the chamber
4. Development of Fruit Bars using Solar dehydration technique (Apples, Apricots, Plums, Strawberry’s and other regional fruits).
5. Development of solar dried fruit bars through different techniques and formulations for organic and non-organic fruits grown in different regions
6. Process development (Osmotic Dehydration of Fruits & Vegetables).
7. R & D on process development of forest produce (Tribal areas) - Abundant forest produce needs value addition and also for income generation of tribal’s.
8. Plan and assist to identify State NGOs to establish the production cum training centers in 5 selected State centers in the country with full partnership of State NGO’s.
